Sneezing, Coughing, Runny Nose-Cold, or Allergy?
- The answer is actually both! These symptoms are shared among both conditions. Typically, if these symptoms are brought on by allergy they will be accompanied by clear mucus. Yellow or greenish in color are sure signs of a cold
- Itchy or Watery Eyes-Cold or Allergy?
- It is not normal for a cold to induce this sort of symptom; itchy or watery eyes are usually going to be signs of allergies
- Shortness of Breath/Wheezing-Cold or Allergy?
- Asthmatic patients will see these symptoms fighting off a cold or dealing with allergies. These symptoms may also be indicative of other conditions such as bronchitis or even pneumonia. Consult a physician if these symptoms persist.
- Fever/Sore Throat-Cold or Allergy?
- Allergies are not known to bring about a fever. If the patient’s temperature is on the rise, that throat irritation could be related to a cold or other type of infection.
- Cold symptoms accompanied by 100+ temperature-Cold or Allergy?
- These combined are actually signs of a Flu infection. Be sure to drink lots of fluids and make time for rest so your body has the strength to fight off further infection.
