What is Brentwood?
The neighborhood of Brentwood is located at the base of the Santa Monica Mountains in between Westwood and Santa Monica. Development of this neighborhood began in the 1880s, which occurred after the 600-acre Pacific branch of the National Home for Disabled Soldiers and Sailors. Los Angeles annexed Brentwood in 1916, which caused the now affluent area to explode.
