But did you know that as an Elderly or Senior Veteran (or spouse thereof) there is financial assistance that actually help you with the cost of non-medical Home Care? For vets who meet the financial requirements and have served a minimum 90 days active duty are able to be a part of Veterans’ Pension.
There is an additional program available for those who qualify which is called Aid and Attendance. This benefit program is for Veterans who can demonstrate they need aid of someone else for activities of daily living (ADL’s). These include but are not limited to bathing, grooming, eating etc. This particular benefit can deliver assistance for the Veteran with supplemental funds to cover costs of medical expenses and Home Care.
