Using Diet and Supplements for Alzheimer’s

There is no definitive way to prevent Alzheimer’s, but there are various combinations of herbs, vitamins, and other supplements that may help with supporting your brain health, and ultimately prevent or delay Alzheimer’s.  There is some strong data from the National Institutes of Health that Omega-3 Fatty acid found in fish oil may help prevent cognitive decline.  In some cases, physicians prescribe Vitamin E in higher dosages to help delay the loss of ability for daily activities due to Alzheimer’s.  Lastly, regular exercise that improves heart health may also help cognitive health because of the increased blood flow.
